About Us

I created Art. Garden. Design. to bring together a range of talented craftsmen and women to provide an in-house landscape opportunity. We offer an enjoyable experience of envisioning and reshaping your exterior. The company comprises gifted artists, designers, masonry workers, carpenters, electricians, experienced gardeners, and horticulturalists. We can customize the landscape to your heart’s desire by providing a range of services. Each team member has spent many years cultivating their craft and takes pride and honor in their work. The result is a diversified team that offers inspiration and the opportunity to share and learn from each other. From design to construction to maintenance, we are here to make your landscape and property flourish for decades.

Our Team

Alana Corpuz

CEO and Co-Founder of Art.Garden.Design.

Alana brings her love for the outdoor experience into her work. Her experience began with biodynamic farming and medicinal plants, leading her into Urban Farming and Arboriculture. After working for various Architects, she had the opportunity to work for five years at the respected design/build firm Garden Lights Landscape in Orinda. She began Art.Garden.Design. with the determination to develop a company that both honored its hard workers and respected the client’s needs. With an AA in Landscape Architecture and a Registered CA Contractor, she has been able to design, manage and lead the construction of various small to large landscape projects from start to finish.

Favio Coello

Foreman

Favio has spent 30 years cultivating his skill of Stone Masonry, working on large projects from UC Berkeley to private estates in Healdsburg. He leads the team with passion and a love for the art of masonry and landscaping. His hands-on experience has been invaluable to the team, educating workers, troubleshooting on the fly, and providing creative, sustainable solutions. When not working in the field, he manages his project in Ecuador, an eco-tourist hostel next to the beach in Canoa, Ecuador.

Angel Barajas

Foreman

Angel has 20-plus years of landscaping experience. Angel excels from fine pruning to extensive tree work, plant and soil health, irrigation, and garden maintenance. He leads the crew with a strong work ethic of hard, focused work, patience for educating on the job, and quality completion. When he is not on the job site, he participates in family activities and attends his son’s soccer games.

Construction Associate and Project Manager

Todd’s background is in electrical engineering, with a B.S. degree in Physics/Electrical Engineering from U.C. Berkeley, and he has worked in the construction and landscaping industries for over 20 years. He has managed various projects, from complete home remodels to landscape construction. He currently consults and collaborates with many different construction and landscaping professionals. While Todd’s skill set covers all of the trades, he most enjoys and excels at the challenge of doing electrical work and brings convenience and functionality to lighting and other projects. You can find him working on his sustainable garden or fly fishing in various wildernesses when he is not on the job site.

Katie Hart

Design Associate

Katie began her journey a long time ago, receiving her BA from UC Davis for fine arts, and now is only one semester away from her AA in Landscape Architecture. When Katie is not on the job site, you can find her and her husband redesigning and modernizing their Oakland Victorian home. Her attention to detail, artistic skill set, and understanding of construction and gardening has made her a fantastic team member.
